Located in Chitina, at the gateway to Wrangell St. Elias National Park, our "Alaskan First Class Log Cabins" were built by the owners with local spruce logs including the log furniture.
To begin your Real Alaskan Adventure in Chitina, our cabins are a beautiful hike from the parking area. During the short walk we may encounter grayling or an otter in our stream, perhaps an eagle soaring overhead and if we are lucky, a sheep peering down from the hillside or mountain above.
From our walk to the cabins, the cabins themselves, to the outdoor plumbing, a visit with us is like stepping back into time and history for a true taste of the "Last Frontier".
The Honeymoon Cabin
Our first cabin is a honeymoon suite for two featuring a custom double log bed, table and chairs, cd player, coffee pot, small burner propane stove and a porch with a view, all nestled in the quite serenity of the Alaskan wilderness.
An old fashion washbasin is provided as well as outdoor plumbing.
The current rate is $150.00 for two people
Our rate includes a light snack of our homemade salmon when you arrive and a specialty breakfast which may include rolls, juice, fruit, cereal, meat, eggs and fresh ground coffee or tea in the morning.
Tikaani's Den
Our second cabin offers a custom double log bed, an antique day bed, table and chairs, cd player, coffee pot, small 3 burner propane stove and a screened in porch, all nestled in the quite serenity of the Alaskan wilderness.
An old fashion washbasin is provided as well as outdoor plumbing.
The current rate is $150.00 for two people
and $15 for an additional person.

Bunkhouse ~ Hostel Apache
Our Bunkhouse "Hostel Apache" was opened in 2004 and can sleep 8 people. This particular cabin style is a perfect fit for hikers,backpackers, fishermen, adventurers and people on a budget. It is also a great resting place for family and friends.
The bunkhouse features four small rooms, two with two bunks in the room, one with three bunks and one with a double bed and child bed. The bunkhouse has an open layout featuring a large central area with table and benches. There is a refrigerator and sink for common use. There is well water available for dishes and cooking. The bunkhouse does have limited electricity so there is a coffee pot, and lights. There is an outhouse located outside of the cabin. You will have access to a shower and laundry facility as well.

The hostel is rented by the bunk, there may be more than yourself or your party in the cabin at one time. If you are interested in renting the entire bunkhouse, please contact us.
